Gather round children while I tell you a tale, The story of "What Not To Do on a Friday Night" The night was dark and there was a chill in the air. The "Adults" went out to play. They had mayhem in there plan, they wanted to attack. They gathered up their weapons and ammunition to start the game (to make it more interesting they had a beverage or two). The game started with a bang, the tiny plastic bee bee’s flew. Bam Bam Bam, went the semi auto Airsoft rifles and Bang Bang went the pistils. “Ouch! you almost hit my eye, you idiot”, “I’ll get you back”. Then down went the Adult named Alecia, down to the ground she went. With a yelp “Hold on guys, I’m hurt”, they all stopped what they were doing and went to look. She arose from the cold dirt with pain in her eyes and a look of shock came over the crowd. Her little finger was bent, but not towards her palm, it was bent towards the back of her hand. “Hey” said some smarty form the crowd I think she has jammed her knuckle”. Another one from the group said “ I bet if we yank on it, we can get it fixed”, and sadly they all agreed. So one holding body, the other holding arm they yanked and the yanked 4 times. One said “ I think we got it, lets tape it so it stays straight”. Then off to the homestead they shuffled, and then to a bunk she crept. Sleep escaped her that evening, and the sunrise brought much pain. “Hey you guys, I can’t get this tape off” Alecia said. “My hand is way too swollen”. She grimaced as she said “the Emergency Room is where I’ll be, I hope you don’t need me for a while.” Now children, you can see, the x-ray shows what can happen to you. When you go out and play on a chilly March night in a field full of cow sh**. Surgery will follow on Tuesday morning with a pin in the knuckle. The Doctor announced “see that part of your bone that is sticking out?” She said she did “That wouldn’t be that way, and you wouldn’t have to have surgery if those funny little adult men would not have yanked on your finger 4 times”. It’s fun to be young and play, isn’t it children?
