Williston North Dakota 2010

I got to spend a couple of days in Williston North Dakota around Mothers Day. I really had a good time and I wished that I had a few more days to spend up there with Andrea, maybe next time Here are some of the photos I took.

We had a pretty bad snow storm on the way up there......white knuckle city!!!
This was about 8 hours into our 18 hour drive
This is where Andrea works. Its called United Pulse

More United Pulse

This is downtown Epping. I think they said 55 people live there. This is where Andrea is staying right now, its about 25 miles outside of Williston.

Crazy antique store in Williston

Books everywhere!

This is for Angeline.....Coke and Barbie how can you go wrong

Uncle Jake......look at what I found!!!!

Small town parade. I felt like I was in a Steven King movie, everything felt a little off.....check out that kid in the middle...I swear he is at least 7 feet tall

CRAZY!!!!......no literally... he is

This is supposedly the only train tunnel in all of North Dakota. We wanted to go all the way across the bridge and into the tunnel, but it was so cold and windy that we only got half way across.

It spans the Yellowstone River

Angles, angles everywhere
This is the convergence of the Yellowstone River and the Missouri Rivers.

They fish for these crazy looking fish called Paddle Fish at the convergence, they start the season the first of May and it goes until 1000 have been caught state wide. They have two kinds of meat on them. One layer is red and one is white.....according to the locals YOU DON'T EAT THE RED!!!!

So I'm glad that you posted some pix. It looks like you did get to see quite a bit and learned some interesting things. I'm glad that you were able to spend time with Andrea see some of the sites. Also so happy that you made it there safe and sound. The weather can be so so dangerous. So how much was the Coke Barbie? She really is so me. It's perfect! Glad you made it back safely.
